East Kent Veterinary Referrals (EKVR) delivers advanced surgical care designed specifically to support veterinary practices across Kent, offering a seamless referral pathway for complex soft tissue and surgical cases.

EKVR is equipped with a dedicated surgical suite and advanced diagnostic tools, allowing our team to provide experienced, advanced practitioner-led treatment across a wide spectrum of procedures, including minimally invasive techniques where clinically appropriate. Our approach prioritises clear communication, collaborative case planning and continuity of care back to the referring practice, enabling you to confidently offer your clients access to surgical support close to home.

RCVS Advanced Practitioner

Andy leads our advanced surgical service. Andy achieved RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in 2023 and holds additional certifications in both general Small Animal Surgery and Advanced Small Animal Orthopaedics.

He brings over a decade of surgical experience from busy hospitals and a specialist referral centre, combining exceptional clinical skill with a calm, collaborative approach. Andy is passionate about working in partnership with pet owners and referring vets to find the best outcome for each pet.

  • Keyhole surgery such as spays, gastropexy, liver biopsy
  • Complex tumour removals including skin flaps and grafts
  • Abdominal surgeries for complex issues and biopsies
  • Bladder surgery including cystoscopy
  • Airway surgery for BOAS
  • Ear surgery (TECA and VBO)
  • Oncological surgery, metastasis screening and staging
  • Surgical planning with CT imaging
