CT Referrals

East Kent Veterinary Referrals offers 32 slice CT imaging to support the diagnostic needs of referring veterinary practices. Our on-site CT service enhances clinical decision-making for complex cases where detailed cross-sectional imaging can provide valuable insight beyond standard radiography.

CT scans are performed by our experienced team and interpreted by veterinary imaging specialists using state-of-the-art equipment. High quality DICOM images and multi-planar reconstructions are provided to referring practices promptly, accompanied by a detailed report highlighting key findings, measurements and clinical interpretation to inform patient management.

Purpose and Clinical Value

CT imaging is an invaluable tool for assessing a wide range of conditions, including neurological disease, complex trauma, airway and thoracic pathology, dental and sinus abnormalities, and oncologic staging. The high resolution, multi-planar reconstructions and three-dimensional visualisation provided by CT allow for more precise evaluation of anatomy and pathology, improving surgical planning and therapeutic strategies.

We believe advanced imaging shouldn’t come with a premium price tag. CT scans at Beacon View Vets start from £1,250, including sedation or anaesthesia, the scan itself, image processing, and a full specialist radiologist report.

We've invested in this equipment to make advanced pet care available locally. We’re proud to offer better imaging at a better price without compromising on care.

Referral Support and Case Collaboration

Effective communication and collaboration are central to our referral ethos. Prior to imaging, we are happy to discuss case history and clinical questions to tailor the CT protocol. Following imaging, we provide clear, concise reports from VetCT formatted to support onward case planning, referral decisions and client communication.

CT imaging referrals can be submitted via our online referral form or by direct contact with the EKVR team. For cases requiring further diagnostic support or surgical intervention, we can combine imaging and referral pathways to streamline case management.
